About this course
With cyber security attacks an increasing threat to technology used not just in shore-based organisations, but also on board modern ships, the IMO issued guidelines relating to cyber risk management in June 2017. Ship owners and managers must incorporate these guidelines into their safety management systems by 1 January 2021.Â
This three-day course, in partnership with maritime security specialists Cyber Prism, offers the essentials of practical cyber security for shore and sea. The course is designed to enable seafarers and shore-based personnel to develop an awareness of cyber security threats, types of attack, and concepts and techniques used by attackers. The course is suitable for all ship-and shore-based personnel who interact with IT and operational equipment.
