Please complete your application form in full, indicating the exam you wish to sit, along with the exam date.

All applications must be received by the Exams Team by the advertised closing date.

IAMI yacht deck and small vessel engineering exams

To apply to sit an exam, please complete your application form in full (pages 1 and 2) and return to the Exams Team, together with the following by the closing date stated in the fees, timetable and deadline information documents, above:

• Completed application form
• Passport (overseas students)
• Valid visa (if applicable - overseas students)
• Course completion certificate, or letter of exemption (for students who have not studied at Solent)

Fees and payment

All fees are shown in the timetable, fees and deadlines information documents.

You will be directed on how to make your payment once the Exams Team has received your application. Please note, you will have 7 days from your exam invoice being issued to make your payment. If no payment has been received within this period, then your exam booking will be cancelled.

An appropriate administration fee (see the pdf document for details) will be applied if this is your third or subsequent attempt. For students using us an exam centre only, administration fees are higher and are stated at the bottom of the timetable, fees and deadlines information documents.

If you require a visa letter, you must also send a copy of your passport to exams@solent.ac.uk.

Once applications/payments have been received, the University will not accept responsibility for the loss of fees if candidates are prevented from entering the UK due to visa delays or flight cancellations.
