Automated External Defibrillation

About this course

Automated external defibrillators (AED) are increasingly being made available for use by first aiders. 

This course provides basic life support training and the use of automated external defibrillators which are commonly used in cases of cardiac arrest. Anyone may attend and there is no requirement to have undertaken first aid training previously. 

AED training is now completed as standard with the Proficiency in Medical First Aid course at no extra cost.

This four-hour course can be accessed as a stand-alone session or by students who are keen to undertake AED training while taking other short courses with us. Depending on staff availability, the course could also be delivered off site, in the near locality, to a minimum group of six students, if required.
