About this course

This course provides bespoke fire fighting training tailored to your needs. The course is delivered over one or more days to suit your requirements, with all personal protective equipment (PPE) and lunch/refreshments included.

Guidance for delegates who are or may be pregnant:

For safety reasons, we are unable to accept bookings for this course for anyone who is or thinks they may be, pregnant. This applies at any stage of the pregnancy.

What you'll study

The course requirements can be defined in advance of delivery, through correspondence and site visits where appropriate, and will be dependent on the outcomes you are aiming to achieve from the training.

For example, a course might include full utilisation of self-contained breathing apparatus in our bespoke fire fighting facility dealing with multiple fire types; the use of simulated fire types from a helicopter or large liquid spill; or the use of extinguishers and/or escape gear.

We can also train existing fire teams or response personnel, or deliver away-day experiences where achieving a challenging shared goal is the aim of the day.

On completion of the training, delegates will be issued with a certificate for bespoke company based fire fighting.

Your instructors

The instructional staff at Warsash Fire School have a wide range of experience, including in the Local Authority Fire Service, Airport Fire Service, Royal Navy, and Merchant Navy. The team all have experience in maritime fire fighting and have NVQ assessor qualifications, teaching qualifications, First Aid (including O2 and defibrillators), Breathing Apparatus Instructor, Confined Fire Behaviour Training, and Breathing Apparatus Maintenance and Servicing (Drager and Scott sets).

Within the team, individuals hold a range of other instructional qualifications in fire service disciplines, and together draw upon more than 30 years’ experience in the main firefighting sectors (domestic, aviation and maritime).
