About this course
This half-day course is required for all crew with a duty to assist passengers in emergency situations on board ships.
The course provides underpinning knowledge for dealing with crowds in emergencies; rules of crowd management, including mustering procedures; and factors affecting human behaviour in emergencies; as well as awareness of life-saving appliance and control plans.
What you'll learn
At the end of your training you should:
- be aware of shipboard lifesaving appliance and control plans,
- be able to assist passengers en route to muster and embarkation stations, and
- be able to carry out mustering procedures.
