GMDSS Restricted Operators Certificate

About this course

This GMDSS qualification is designed for mariners who will be operating within GMDSS Area A1 (VHF range) only (the GOC is required for those who will be operating outside A1 areas). 

The course covers all requirements for this certification and is a mixture of theory sessions and practical exercises to prepare you for the external exam. You will also receive a comprehensive set of course notes which, in addition to enabling self-study while on the course, will be a valuable reference manual when you return to your ship. 

The ROC is also the minimum GMDSS qualification the MCA will accept for certificate of competency revalidation.
