About this course

The maritime industry is required under various international instruments and industry body guidance to manage risks and to investigate and analyse incidents associated with their operations.

The industry has been taking steps to manage risks, and different techniques are available as options. Since the responsibility rests with the 'company', they are free to choose the technique that suit their circumstances. The company staff need to be trained for management of marine risks and in the techniques of incident investigation.

Prerequisites

Those undertaking the course should be STCW management level certificated officers or senior officers in shore-based management roles of marine companies.
