About this course
This course is for crew responsible for passenger tender transfer operations and is offered as an on-board training package. The course timetable is flexible and can be modified to meet the constraints of training in an operational on-board environment.
What you'll learn
Training is workshop style and includes practical exercises covering launching and recovery operations, boat handling, collision avoidance, navigation, radio and emergency procedures.
You will be required to demonstrate competency in both boat handling and the various tasks involved with operating a passenger tender safely.
Prerequisites
- You must hold a Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats (other than fast rescue boats) certificate.
- You must be over 18 years old.
